After finishing my prescription acne cleanser, i resorted back to an over the counter one, but im starting to?

break out a little again. I heard it's because my skin is not used to the weaker treatment, but should I just see if my skin gets used to it or go back on heavy treatment?? It's not breaking out that much, just a little bit. After finishing my prescription acne cleanser, i resorted back to an over the counter one, but im starting to?

I've heard that once you start using a certain type of treatment(like Pro Active) you have to continue using that product or you'll just break out all over again. I'd say try using what you are now since it's just a mild break out but if the condition worsens then you may want to start using the precription again
If you鈥檙e looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne鈥?prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it鈥檚 advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.

Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

I'm just curious if you stopped using your medicated cleanser for a reason? Some of my clients stop because their skin tends to get overly dry. I think you should keep using your current cleanser just be consistant and your skin should become adjusted in no time. Maybe you might need to go back to the medicated cleanser but give the current one a chance before you switch back. I hope this helps. ^^
why did you quit the other????? if it worked then keep it up...these prescritions arent permanent fixes...you must keep it up.....keep using it
Try DDF Acne Pumice Scrub. It works miracles, and is much simpler and less abrasive than the perscription ones. I think it's actually more effective.

You can get it at www.sephora.com
