I found Benzac (benzoic acid) very effective for removing and preventing acne. It also keeps your face from getting oily and shiny all day. I used the 10% solution when I still had acne and the 5% for maintenance.
I didn't even have to wear make-up, it was better than pressed powder for keeping the shine away. Besides, makeup causes acne.
I only stopped using it when I got pregnant.
