What's the best thing I could use that doesn't require a prescription for moderate acne and actually works?

You have oily skin, therfore, wash you face, three times a day with medicated soap. After each washing take a ball of cotton and dip it in rubbing alcohol. Gently, rub the alcohol solution all over your face, being careful around the eyes. Continue with this treatment, even, after the pimples have disappeared. If they reappear, it's because, you've stopped doing one of the steps toward a pimple-free face.

pro active. no lie it really really works! What's the best thing I could use that doesn't require a prescription for moderate acne and actually works?
1. A healthy diet - lots of fruit is very important. Stay away from any processed or fried food.

2. Lots of exercise - Get those pores open.

3. Clean your face with cold water - Use clean hands and keep washing until your skin squeaks (no oil)

4. Apply non alcoholic toner - use cotton balls

5. Clean your face with cold water again.

6. Be confident %26amp; proud - Acne lasts until you're about 18 or 19 %26amp; you will live for 80 or 90 years so don't worry too much ;)
You can use the cream called Erytop which is very effective. This is a medical cream.

Else you can Garnier's cream (a kind of green colored tube for acne.Sorry i dont remember the name). Both are very effective.

Acne are attributed to many factors like genetic, food habits, life stlye, weather etc., Do not eat oily food, aerated drinks, cakes, etc.,Protect your face from sun, dust and intense lightening. Exposure to continuous light (tube light at office) can also aggrevate acne. Keep your face dry.

Try to study your skin pattern. Some people's face go dry for an interval of time after washing with soap. Some people have a combination skin. If you have a combination skin, then keep your face dry. Use a moisturising cream (not lotion) on the areas that go very dry.

It is generally advised that lotions are not to be used for oily skin. They make the face go more oily. Use creams. Always use only 50-60% of the cream quantity than that is actually required, if you have an oily or combination skin.

Do not change the soaps or face wash that you use for your face frequently.
try aspirin..

take about four aspirin and dissolve them in a few drops of water.. add in a squirt of honey and make a paste.. this can be used as a scrub, mask if left on for ten minutes, or a spot treatment left on over night.. this works like pro active.. i've used both and got clear skin with each.. only aspirin didn't dry my face out as much and it's a lot cheaper..

as an exfoliant i also scrub my face with an electric toothbrush.. yeah it sounds odd but it works.. it really cleans out your pores and removes dead skin, dirt and oil.. you can use any scrub ya like.. or the aspirin a mentioned.. i like to use st ives and i do this about three times a week..

hope this helps..
drink lots of water, don't eat too much junk food, and don;t get stressed out (stress can cause breakouts).
the thing that actually works is acne getaway 101E. good luck using it.
I kid you not... Proactiv. Luckily, I'm blessed with a good complexion but my little sister has it bad... I mean, BAD. After watching all those retarded info-mericals, I decided to get her Proactiv cuz honestly I felt sorry for her. So, I bought her a kit, she followed the instructions carefully, and her face cleared up within a week. No freakin' joke. Her skin is better than mine. The downside- it's costly but it is so worth it to see her happy. In fact, she's now a face character at Disneyland. So, a good complexion is needed for her job.
I do not sell this but I can tell you - Mary Kay Acne Treatment Gel - That stuff is great!!! You know how when you have a place that's trying to come thru the skin but hasn't yet or doesn't even look like there's anything there but it hurts if you even look at it? You can clean your skin and put some of the gel on there and that place will be gone before it ever even starts. About $7.00/tube and worth every penny of it.
pro active
proactive or the generic stuff they sell at walmart thats the 3-step process like proactive.

seriously they both work if you use it right, the generic stuff is waaay cheaper though.
1) pro-activ

2) panoxyl products: their acne bar and acne gel. start at 2.5% then use 5%.. really worked for me when i ran out of pro-activ supply

3) take an anti-biotic for 1 month together with a natural vitamin E capsule while using the pro-activ or panoxyl products.

while the topical products work on the surface of the skin, the antibiotic and vitamin E work from within your body.

4) shop online for Korean/Chinese/Japanese acne cure products.. they have the best faciak skin care products... the products are all natural that's why they also really work...

i use DEOPROCE facial wash, iWhite toner and emulsion, and VOV smooth pack and concealer== all korean products and they really work...

i switched to asian products when i found pro-activ and panoxyl no longer work for me...

i hope these tips could help you get clear skin...
soap and water..
