speak to a nutritionalist and change your diet - you will be amazed at the difference in your skin if your eating pattern changesIS THERE ANY GOOD TREATMENTS FOR ACNE THAT I CAN GET ON Prescription?
Try something that has benzoyl peroxide in it, or neutrogena on-the-spot acne treatment. that shld be easy to get, and it worked for me. if nothing works, see a dermatologist, that's a skin doctor. goodluck.
There is Erytromycine and zinc, a solution you put on the top for mild acne, it's very good.
There's doxycyline, a capsule based antibiotic.
Lastly there Ro-Accutan, which has a 98% success rate, but be warned, it's almost toxic, and will leave you feeling sick, so only use it for severe Acne.
Also if you're a girl ask you're doctor about different types of contraceptive pills. Some make things better, other make no difference, just keep trying.
And dont listen to people who say, dont use drugs, I can promise you they never had chronic acne, if they think it's something that some face wash and a smile will cure.
Always talk these things over with you're GP/Dermatologist,
and Good Luck.
As long as your acne is only light to moderate, you can use home acne remedies, everything that you need can be bought from a grocery store.

your g.p would be the most likely candidate for this answer
ask doctor
I am on that at the momment - it takes at least 3 months for it to kick into your system, My doctor told me to see results after about 3 months.
Its just a waiting game hun.
That sounds hairy! Assuming you've already been to chat about it with your doc you could either go again and say it's not working for you or maybe try NHS Direct (In everyone's phone book) for advice. Pharmacists are founts of knowledge as are homoeopaths. It's worth assessing your diet and stress levels. It will get resolved - hope it's soon.
If your acne is moderate to severe, it is possible to use an alternative antibiotic like erythromycin, if that fails after a reasonable period accordingto guidaelines yur GP uses, he can refer you to a specialist for Roaccutane - but as it can damage the foetus you will need to be taking contraceptives assuming youre a woman.
if it's bad you can try accutane (roaccutane in europe) but it's a bit dangerous so definitely only use as a last resort.
go to your doctors and ask for 'ZINDACLIN or STIEMYCIN, both are very good one a cream and one is a rollerball, you can only get them on perscription,
The Obaji system used with retin a and the antibiotic doxyclycin-I promise after a few months your skin will be flawless. I was shocked!
Talk to your doctor he is the only one that can help, or if you want to try the Chinese herbalists they are good. I know that for a fact, for simple illness i use them rather than clog up the NHS
try a natural way not chemical stuff, my friend used Herbal products like cremes and face mask and got rid off it completely.
Go to acne.org and you will be clear....promise. Read his clear skin regimin and find the answer to acne just like I did, and my teenaged brother.
I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!
Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:
1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn鈥檛 use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured鈥f we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don鈥檛 want us to know.
There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/... that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.
There are various things you can get for acne on prescription. Its just a matter of finding something that works for you. There are antibiotics such as tetracycline that will fight acne, but your body can become immune to antibiotics and it is rarely a long term solution. There are creams and lotions you can use which will attack the acne from the outside, but again, it is a matter of finding one that suits your skin type.
A month and a half is not that long, even though I bet it feels like forever. Tetracycline will take at least 3 months to even start showing any kind of improvement. Give it a bit more time.
As a long time acne sufferer, I will suggest something that became a miracle for me. B5. Its a vitamin, and it has cleared up my moderate/severe acne like nothing ever has before. If you go to www.b5clearskin.com, you can read more about it. Basically, all you do is megadose on B5 which is completely harmless. After around 3 to 4 months you should start seeing an improvement.
It is a bit more costly than prescription medicines, but it depends on how much you are willing to pay for clear skin. I was willing to pay anything!
Good luck, I hope you find something to clear you up. I know if you use B5 you won't be disappointed!
xx
try bio oil, its about 拢9 a bottle, but its fantastic, it also helps with anti aging and is said to get rid of old scars and stretch marks.
xxxxxxxxx
Depends on if your male or female if female u can be prescribed a type of contraceptive pill called Dianette which works and you wont have to pay for the prescription with it being a contraceptive. The first thing you will be prescribed is Doxycycline which is an antibiotic if this does not work after 6 months then they will prscribe the above.
Try a guillotine!...spotty!
i was on tetrocyclin (a pill) for a while. then switched to taking birth control (orth tricyclin), which worked even better.
There are several different anti-biotics that can be used for the treatment of acne. As well as tablets you can also get topical creams. The creams, however, should only be used for a short period of time.
Ask your doctor for a different medication if this is not working!
