Prescription acne medication?

I'm almost 16 so i know acne is ';just gonna happen';. But this is getting ridiculous. I don't have severe cystic acne, but enough to have low self esteem issues. I've used neutrogena, clean and clear, cetaphil, and clearisil, all with no help. I've used acne treatment gels, with the same minimal result.

I've used tea tree oil, and proactiv both of which are EXTREMELY drying. Proactiv burnt my skin and after I stopped using it, (used for about 3 months) my skin got a lot worse. I switched to tea tree oil which is also extremely drying and similar to proactiv, if I don't use it for 1 day, my skin looks horrible.

I used to get nasty white heads on my chin and around my mouth and upper lip, which have stopped but have been replaced with small bumps, some not visible to the naked eye, all over my face. i get red zits that aren't popable and leave scars. What can a doctor do for me at this point?Prescription acne medication?
Have you tried salicylic acid cream? That works well for some. The brands you list make many different products.

If that doesn't work, it's time to talk with your doctor. All the other medications are prescription only. The doctor can prescribe tetracycline, Retin-A, Accutane, etc.Prescription acne medication?
Caucasian Kefir, a natural, God given, pro-biotic drink (which you ferment yourself with the Kefir culture grain in milk, so it's dirt cheap!!) to fix skin problems and many many more ailments from the inside out. It will treat acne much faster than Roaccutane, and has no known side effects, you can't beat nature!!! Search the internet for ';Caucasian Kefir.'; Some people give it away free if you can't find it free search at ebay or other online sites that sell it.

Here is a testimonial Posted: Sat Dec 01, 2007 5:03 am Post subject: Acne gone in three weeks, wow!!

I'm 49 years old and developed acne in my early 40's. My son had acne as a teenager and went on roaccutane (horrific drug). It cured his acne, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it. My daughter had serious cystic acne and wanted to go on roaccutane as well recently, which I was very much against, but she is 20 years old and has suffered for years. It has scarred her back, chest, her upper arms, and of course her face. I couldn't understand why we had this problem, because we have the perfect diet (I thought). I was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer five years ago and we did a drastic change of diet, as in extreme healthy. Also, there is no history of skin disorders on either side of the family. The skin problems, however, persisted. Four months ago I started making kefir with kefir grains that I bought on the internet... if you google you will find several suppliers. Also some people will send them for free. I happened to start taking Udo's oil and fish oil at the same time. It was a coincidence. My skin was clear within three weeks. My daughter had just finished a course of antibiotics for her skin (very much against my wishes as I think that in most cases antibiotics are a waste of time and dangerous to boot), and was clamouring for the roaccutane. I had to persuade her to use the kefir and flax oil/fish oil combination. She's used to me trying out all sorts of combinations over the years.

Finally she gave in and within three weeks (NOT kidding here, it happened so fast, just like for me) she was clear. We drink the kefir and take the oils at the same time.

I looked up 'Kefir Flax oil' in google and came up with Dr. Johanna Budwig, who was a German scientist who claimed to cure cancer with a flaxseed/quark (kefir, cottage cheese...) combination. It sounds far-fetched but actually she was nominated for a noble prize six times. Alot of info on good fats/oils was discovered by her.

On top of clearing our skin beautifully (no lumps, bumps, irritations of any kind except for past scars... we have great energy.

This has worked for us and I wanted to share it.
