I am 24 yo female who has acne since 12. The BEST thing I have found to work is ';Tea Tree Oil'; I can only find it at Vitamin Shoppe it is a chain store or you can go online. I have tried prescriptions which make you sensitve to sun light, are expensive and don't work. With Accutaine (spelling) it causes deadly birth defects if you were to become pregnant. Most doctors won't prescribe it unless you take birth control with it.
With Tea Tree Oil it comes like a cleaning pad 50 in a pack. Use it twice a day. There is also an ointment to use on actual bumps to help them go away quicker.
