No. You must have a prescription from a dermatologist in order to get it. Accutane is a last resort drug reserved for people with severe acne. It has many potential serious side-effects and users of the drug need to be registered with the iPLEDGE program to obtain it. This program requires all females who can become pregnant to be using two forms of birth control whilst on the drug and to receive monthly pregnancy tests. It also requires both males and females to get monthly blood tests to monitor triglyceride and AST levels. All users also have to answer a series of questions on the iPLEDGE website before their prescription will be filled. Accutane is some serious stuff. Can I just buy the acne medicine ';accutane'; or do I need a prescription from a dermatologist first?

Cannot not buy it. Need a prescription from a doctor. You have to sign consent forms and get blood work. Accutane is risky and only used for the severest cases.
