I have been on minocycline for 2months for acne. My doc gave me prescription for 5 months is it ok to stop now

I am seeing a difference, my acne is clearing up but there are so many blemishes left from the acne what can I do about the blemishesI have been on minocycline for 2months for acne. My doc gave me prescription for 5 months is it ok to stop now
Please continue your meds as your doctor ordered - I had to go off my antibiotic because it made me so sick to my stomach - and am using pine tar soap now to wash my face 3x a day - but nothing works better than an antibiotic - if you stop most likely the acne will come back! It did for me! If you're still breaking out in a few months on the antibiotic ask for a stronger one minocycline is a weak one. If it's working - why stop? Use it it'll help clear up the blemishes in time - if not go back and ask for doxycycline - that's stronger and will really wipe out every bit of acne at a strong enough dose...good luck...I have been on minocycline for 2months for acne.
