Did acne prescriptions work for you?

have they worked for you or not? plz shareDid acne prescriptions work for you?
You bet ya. The small pimples and just general acne yes. Solodyn is what i use and it is some heavy duty stuff and i only have 1 pimple like every 2 weeks, its great. I used to have like 3 every week. I high reccomend using perscription meds. Although they can dry out your face in the winter.Did acne prescriptions work for you?
heck yes they did
Some creams worked some didn't, best for me was benzoyl peroxide but as I stopped using it I started breaking out again.

Best way to get rid of acne is to drink lots of water and try not to stress too much about it as stress if known to make acne worse. Also acne goes away pretty fast when you know how to get rid of body toxins. I used this method and has been acne free since then http://acnefreein3days.net-reviews.info You can try it if you like.

Good Luck
i use tazorac for blackehaeds and bezaclin they work really well but take a while to start working when you first start useing them.

10 Points! Whats the best prescription medicine for acne... I'm 30 yrs old and breaking out all over !
I am sure your doctor can help with the prescription med. I woud also look at your diet. Cut soda out of your diet, this will not only make you healthier but help clear up acne. A clean diet, makes for a clean body. I believe Pro activ does work but you may need to look at the way you are eating. I am over 30 and have had the same problem and this worked for me.
im 13 and used differin.... it didnt work

so i bought Duac gel to use after using my regular face wash

that works for me

but my est friend used this stuff called Acutain(ask doctor) its where u take a pill every day for 6 months and u dont get acne for the rest of ur life. but sometimes it doesnt work the 1st time and u have to take it again. but the side effects are nose bleeds and in some cases it affects peoples livers. so the doc sends u to ger blood drwan every month to see if theres anything wrong if there is they take u off immediately( i think) thats y my mom wont let me use it
My brother had acne really bad, the docter put him on Acutane. It really dries up your skin, and makes it flaky for a while, my brother had really bad acne and now he's got nothing. It may cause birth defects, but you'll only be on it for a few weeks-months.

P.S. Hope you have a good zit free life!!

Back in the 80's I used to use Retin-A; it worked great after about a month. If it's still around, I think the name might have changed.

P.S. It's still around! It's called Tretinoin, Retin-A, Avita and Renova.
maybe try acne complax or natures cure. . . natures cure worked for me and my best friend or go to these websites and see if you can find the best for you . . . http://www.quickacneremedy.com/ http://www.acneremedy.com/
Well Im a teen and heres the thing. I do use pads from my local store. But if you drink alot of pop and eat no fruits and veggies then thats another way you break out. Im not saying dont eat I mean I drink like 3 pops a week

maybe 4
Astara Blue Flame Purification Mask, I've heard it works. And DermaMed Acne Gel works to. Neutrogena Rapid Clear Acne Defense Lotion is another.

go see an accupuncturist and take the herbs they give you. It's not gonna kill you in the long run, nor will you run the risk of giving birth to 3 armed children....
No one medicine works for all people, I'm on a combination of differin and benzaclin, it has worked well for me.
Differin is awesome. Zyporex is too.
Wash your face regularly and don't squeeze your spots till they have a white head, or don't squeeze them at all.
hmm i would say clean%26amp;clear..it works for me :]

but i also heard about this new thing skin id and its like designed for all different types of skin soo it fits watever your going through...

hope i helped

I been Using the Doryx prescription for acne 100mg for 2 months now and..?

and it worked great and all....but now i dont have anymore of it and 3 days after i stoped taking it my acne is back!!!!! DOES THIS MEAN IM GONNA have to keep taking the pill forrr a looooooooongggg time and what if my doc dosent want to give it to me any more.. wahhh :( my face is horribleeee red lookingI been Using the Doryx prescription for acne 100mg for 2 months now and..?
interesting... any reputable doctor would have told you to change your diet and hydrate properly instead of choking you down with drugs that run out.

next time.. eat fresh fruits and veggies.. cut out the dairy (if you didn't realize... dairy is an attractant to acne and other issues.) cut back on meat consumption and make sure it's fresh instead of processed, cut out snacks... all processed foods should be eliminated.

and hydrate with fresh fruit juices, get a juicer.. juice them veggies (no, V8 juice is jammed with chemicals and salt) and drink water and learn to sweat and take steam baths.I been Using the Doryx prescription for acne 100mg for 2 months now and..?
Well go back to the doc and get another prescription.

When controlled, you may even cut back to once a day. These meds do work and can be inexpensive (cheap) in generic form. Don't believe all the hype about vegetables. Veggies are helpful and healthful, but are no substitute for medical care that works.

Does mederma really work for acne scars? do you need a prescription for it?

Mederma is as effective as vitamin E capsules but quite a bit more expensive. Neither of these require a prescription but if you have excessive scarring you may still want to see a dermatologist.Does mederma really work for acne scars? do you need a prescription for it?
You don't need a prescription for it. I don't think it works very well. I tried it. What finally worked for me was Neutrogena's product for acne scars in thier advanced skin care line.

Quality product.Does mederma really work for acne scars? do you need a prescription for it?
its over the counter so no script is needed

it might help your scars but a dermatologist would be able to answer that much better.

There are so many new treatments out there now thats who I would recomend you to see mederma is more for fresh scars. there are lasers and peels for your problem.
  • topical cream
  • Clindasol (prescription) for acne..?

is it okay to apply make-up over it?Clindasol (prescription) for acne..?

What are some prescriptions that treat acne?

that treat normal outburts of whiteheads, zits, pimples, and blackheads?

are there seperate ones that treat each other individually? What are some prescriptions that treat acne?
I bought Neutrogena advanced solutions(at home micro Dermabrasion system for face(shh I also use it for other parts of the body too). I bought it at walmart. Keep the box and recipe if it doesn't work for you or if your skin reacts to it I believe 30 days.

It is about $30.00. I use it and I use it for my husband too. It enhances surface cell turnover for visibly fresher , smoother , baby soft skin.

There are many prescription products that treat acne, both topically and orally. The main 2 goals of all are to:1.open up blocked pores (Retin-A, Differin, Tazorac creams) and 2. kill bacteria (mainly one called P. acnes) that causes inflammatory bumps to develop (doxycycline, tetracycyline, minocycyline, erythromycin pills). One additional medication not only open pores, but also controls oil production (Accutane), but can have more side effect concerns than the others. Sometimes you can use topical antibiotics instead of pills if your acne is not too severe (such as benzoyl peroxide with or without topical antibiotics such as clindamycin or erythromycin added to it). In general, it is now felt using pore-opening medications such as Retin-A, etc. help all types of acne. Of all these I've mentioned, plain benzoyl peroxide is over the counter, but all the rest require prescriptions.
As someone who suffers from spots myself, I would never take any prescriptions.

There are other ways that work so much better and don't harm your body.

Like using a tea tree cleanser and an oat exfoliater.

Also try putting on some oils before going to bed such as, 40ml jojoba oil, 15 drops lavendar oil, 15 drops tea tree oil and 8 drops palmarosa. It works! People I haven't seen for a while keep complimenting on how good my complexion is getting.

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

    1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

    2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn鈥檛 use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured鈥f we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don鈥檛 want us to know.

There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

    Prescription Proactive/Acne Free???

I am currently taking Acne Free, which is the same as Proactive, and it's working pretty well but I would rather find a prescription version so I don't have to pay $20 a month for it. Does anyone know of any prescription versions that work the same or have the same ingredients??Prescription Proactive/Acne Free???
continue to use what works..Prescription Proactive/Acne Free???
You can get a benzoyl peroxide prescription. It is similar to what you are using. It will bleach fabrics and can make you skin a little dry. With my families insurance it was usually $10. Or you can use oral antibiotics- I also did this. Report Abuse
